I'...

I'm very tired. I should go to sleep, but I haven't even started on my homework. Hmm.I did absolutely nothing today, and it was fabulous. Except now I'm thinking, 'Where did today go?'Dave totally left a receipt with his credit card number and the expiration date at my apartment. I'm totally going to steal his identity and buy lots of awesome stuff. I discovered crabs in my fridge. That was mildly exciting. Yum. That was left over from Ian's dinner the other night. I feasted.Alyssa got those Live Strong bracelets today and she gave one to me. I'm wearing it now.Sorry this entry is pretty boring. I can't find my damned calculator, and I have a quiz in accounting tomorrow. Argh.I got a phone call from Robert today in Pensacola. He's still without power, and he had to wait in line for an hour today to get gas. Pretty crazy. Tho, the gas there is STILL cheaper than here. It's great to hear from him, tho.So, you know how I've been putting pictures in every entry lately?! Is that annoying? Should the pictures stay or go?

Today was so ...

Today was so awesome. So, this morning Ian and I sat around and watched Harry Potter, Power Rangers, the televangelist channel, Full House, Surreal Life... well, pretty much everything to laugh at (except Harry Potter!) 'cos we were bored and Dave was sleeping. Around 1 PM I woke up Dave by pouring water all over him. Awesome. So then we went to Chipotle for lunch, and then went searching around the neighborhood to find Ian his Magnum PI outfit. We found everything but the velcro shoes, which was disappointing. BUT the shorts ended up not fitting anyway, so he couldn't have worn the entire outfit in the first place. But, he wore the top part of the outfit to the concert, and it was hilarious.HOTT.So, anyway, so we all decided to dress up goofy. I wore a Star Trek t-shirt and houndstooth pants, and Dave wore that crazy t-shirt I made him and plaid pants. We're the awesomest people. So we go over to the Metro and meet up with Sarah. It was funny, as we were walking in, we could hear every single person we passed comment on Dave's shirt. It was a hit!So, first Caviar played, with Scott from Local H. It was alright... not terribly exciting. Second was Kill Hannah. I haven't seen them play live in two and a half years now, and so it was weird (considering before then I used to see them play, like, every week... I've seen them like 13 times now). I didn't even recognize any of the songs except Kennedy, considering I never bought their new album. Weird. Then came the Nick Tremulis band, which oddly enough I don't really remember. Then Billy came on. He only sang three songs! The first one was new... um.. the chorus was something like, "you waaaaaait, you haaaaaaate love, and all it represents". (um, I could have that wrong). The second song he SAID he played on 4/19 and messed up, but I don't remember him playing it and it wasn't "For Your Love". Hmm... I'll have to sort this out later. The third song he played was by the Bee Gees ("To Love Somebody").*EDIT* I forgot to mention that Yelena was there. Billy mentioned she was there and then Dave pointed her out in the left balcony. */EDIT*Right after that Dave and Sarah decided to go downstairs to smoke. And who do they run into but Billy himself! Dave got Billy to sign his t-shirt. Tooooo hilarious. He probably has a better account of it in his livejournal oldwarpilot, but I'm not sure 'cos I haven't read it yet.Anyway, here's the Billy autograph on the shirt I made him!!:It was the first time Dave had ever met Billy, and he was freaking out and it was cute. Especially since just about half an hour earlier we were talking about all of us (Ian, Sarah, and I) have met him and Dave hasn't.Sarah happened to have my ticket stub on her, so she got it autographed for me! How sweet! Now I have three Billy autographs. So the next band was Giant Step(?), tho I didn't really get to pay attention to them because I was listening to Dave tell the story of meeting Billy. Then Scott Lucas came out and played with them... they played Copacetic (did I spell that right?!). It was too awesome. Joe Shanahan himself also came out and sang a song with them. Apparently it's the first time he's ever sang onstage at the Metro in the gadzillion years that he has owned it. It was really neat. Then RICK NIELSEN came out and played with them (Giant Step as well as Scott). They played Surrender and I Want You To Want Me! I flipped out! RICK. NIELSEN.He also had his son onstage playing, as well. Then after a short break Rick and his son came out again to play an acoustic song, and Billy came and PLAYED DRUMS! It was just a simple drum beat, but it was too awesome. Then David James and his wife came out to thank everyone. It was really sweet. I didn't realize that I knew who David James was. I see him around the Metro all the time. He has the same kind of cancer my mom had. And then after that everyone that played over the course of the night came out and did a song together. I didn't recognize the song, but it could be some well-known song that I just don't know. *EDIT* I just read that the song is called "Heaven Tonight" */EDIT* Billy sang. The guys from Kill Hannah had maracas, and I found that amusing. After that we walked over to Clarke's for dinner. Fun times. I had chicken strips. Dave and Ian played the "let's dip random food items in the honey mustard sauce" game, which included waffles and pickle. It was pretty funny. Then we came back to my apartment and hung out here for ten minutes, then I walked Ian and Sarah back to Ian's car. He had parked it in a garage, and he totally should've been charged $40, according to the garage's parking standards. But the parking garage guy accidentally only counted from the time instead of the date, so he only had to pay $16! There were these drunk girls that were stuck in the garage because the guy had lost their car keys, and they were totally hitting on Ian and it was too hilarious for life. They made him play guitar and stuff... so he was sitting there playing in the middle of the garage. Then I came back and then walked Dave to the car, and now I'm back and updating LJ and getting caught up on everything. Here's some more random pictures: Ian, being goofyCute picture of SarahIan's attempt to look sexyDave hanging out on my couchI took pictures with a disposable camera too... but I'm planning on using the camera for the Rilo Kiley concerts as well as the road trip, so I won't have them developed for another two weeks (I also have pics from the Auf Der Maur concert on Friday night on that roll as well).*EDIT*!!!!Billy talked about the concert on the Wrigleyville Report this morning. You can listen to it here

So today...

So today Dave oldwarpilot and I went to Borders and grocery shopping. Exciting times, I know. Dave actually made me take a picture of him in front of the cheese aisle. Man, we're such dorks. I laughed so hard I almost peed.So then we went up on the roof. Dave took a million pictures. Dave takes a million pictures of everything. Tho he's afraid of heights, so it was pretty hilarious. Then we met up with Michelle michellina for lunch at Clarke's. So I totally ordered a hamburger, and the lady brings me a turkey burger. And I don't like turkey burgers, so I politely told her the mistake, and she starts getting all sassy with me. WTF? I bet she spit in my food. Oh well. Then we went to Renegade Craft Fair!!! I love that place. Too bad I'm too poor to afford anything there... BUT most of the stuff I could totally make myself anyways. After lots of searching we finally found the Ms. Jenn emanonx. It's really funny 'cos she just makes friends with everybody. So now I'm back home. People should be coming over a few minutes from now. Awesome.Oh oh! The greatest thing!! Dave snatched me some Auf Der Maur promo posters from Reckless Records.I have two, so Erin medelliaskies, if you want one, it's yours.

oh love is fun. care to dance?

I just have to show you my big accomplishment of the day...I CLEANED MY ROOM!!!BEFORE:My favorite part is the overturned computer in the middle of the floor. And then after 29739472397493274 hours of work, AFTER:Yes, I did that ALL today. You officially cannot call me lazy anymore.Anyway, time for a quick shower and then I'm heading off to the AUF DER MAUR/VON BONDIES CONCERT!!!And then meeting up with Dave. How awesome. You're so jealous for life.

So, I FINALLY ...

So, I FINALLY dyed my hair today. After like, two (or more) months of talking about it. So I can stop annoying you all about it now! Woot.I used to do it all the time in high school, and I haven't in a few years. I like it!I also went to the thrift store today and got two shirts and a VHS copy of Girl, Interrupted for a total of $4.Now time to clean up the bathroom, do some laundry, and homework. Exciting, I know.

I normall...

I normally don't even like to put memes in my LJ, but it's summer, which means I have nothing to do more often, which means more memes in my LJ.So yeah, I stole this from one of you but I don't remember who. So, I'm going to set this entry so that anonymous comments are allowed, and IPs are not logged. So you can tell me stuff anonymously (I think the actual thing is that you're supposed to tell me what you really think of me or something... I'm not really sure... so you can do that or you can write anything, I suppose). Anonymously.

My computer...

My computer is officially fixed!!! It took Mike a bazillion years to do it, but it's FIXED!!!I had to redownload Snood tho, so now all my high scores are gone (333,000-some on puzzle. *tear*). And I have to get some upgrade CD in order for my webcam to work, but it's only $5.Mike came over pretty early yesterday and we just sat around and watched 3 movies and SNL and got orange chicken. Anyway, I'm bored so I stole this from Dave who stole it from Mandie:Post a memory you have with or of me. Do it now!For some reason my computer isn't letting me copy/paste, and for some reason I can't comment on other people's entries (the comment page will come up, but the send button isn't there). Weird.

Billy put ...

Billy put some pictures up on his blog from the recording sessions, and I'm in some of them! The kid sitting next to me is Oscar, and the kid sitting behind us is the guy who dared Oscar to take a picture of Billy coming out of the bathroom.I'm the second person from the left in the front row (the only one wearing a skirt)I'm all the way on the right in this picture, looking down at a Polaroid... my legs look totally deformed in that picture.

Do yo...

Do you like my, "holy crap I'm standing next to billy corgan" face? This one I got autographed (obviously)This is his lyrics book. Because of the glare, you can't actually see the lyrics... but you can kind of get a sense of what it looks like.

Ok, so i...

Ok, so it was AMAZING. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.So I'll start from the beginning. I was completely freaked out that I wouldn't get there in time, because I've never been in that area before and if you were late, they wouldn't let you in. I ended up getting there a half hour early tho. The people in line were reeeally cool. Marker Girl from Saturday & her friend were with me in line, and this girl Liz, and this kid Oscar.Joe Shanahan was there! But only for a bit... I don't know where he went.So we get inside and sit down. I kept getting all nervous every time the guy filming the DVD came over and filmed me. They told us we could take off our shoes if we wanted to, so I did and then the DVD guy (Lester) came over and filmed my feet. I was like, "ewwww no my feet are gross". So you just wait, I bet my gross feet are going to end up on the DVD.So then Billy came in, and gave us this speech on how we have to be completely quiet because the microphones pick up everything. He said he had to kick out a guy the night before, because he had a cold and kept coughing. The first song he played was called "Cease to Be", but he said he's probably going to change the title because he doesn't like it.Right after he finished that song he went to the bathroom, and the guy sitting behind us dared Oscar to take a picture of Billy when he was coming out of the bathroom, and so Oscar agreed. He actually took the picture too! And Billy said, "That's not cool guys", but we couldn't tell if he was being serious or joking around. But Oscar was convinced for the rest of the night that Billy hated him. Especially because he was wearing a Nine Inch Nails shirt, and someone told him that there were tensions between Trent Reznor and Billy Corgan. But then he finally went in the bathroom and turned his shirt inside out. It was really funny. I told him he should just put duct tape over the Nine Inch Nails and write "Billy Corgan" really big on there instead. He was actually going to do it, too, but the guy with the tape had left.Billy was wearing those Abercrombie and Fitch pants. What, does he wear those pants every day?! I swear he does. He was also wearing a brown sweater and Nikes. Ha! And he took his shoes off too. This probably doesn't amuse any of you, but I thought it was hilarious to sit there and watch Billy playing in his socks.I can't really remember all the songs he played... but one of them started out with something about Christopher Columbus, and there was this nine-minute song that he kept messing up on and had to start over. He also played this song "White City", which I loved. I hope this DVD thing actually happens just so I can own this song. The lyrics were something like, "How long should I wait for her to love me?... white city..." Something like that. Well, it was a cool song.As far as questions for him goes, some guy asked him if he'd be started up another band again, and he said definitely not. He said that musically, all of his bands turned out well, but they never turn out on a personal level. He says he's bad at picking bandmates. He said if he were to tour for his new album, it'd be with a hired band, and if he ever played any other shows with the songs he played tonite, he'd play with some other musicians. He said he'd probably tour for his new rock album and then he MIGHT tour for this acoustic DVD. Some girl asked him what flavor of Kool Aid he'd be, and he said cherry. He said that he and his brother used to open up the freezer and blow when they were hot over the summer. Someone asked if he minded when people took pictures of him, and he said that he's learned to ignore it. But he said that when it all first started, you feel like... (and then he licked his fingers and pretended to be combing his non-existent hair down. Oh Billy!). Hmm... other questions... Someone asked what movies he's seen lately, and he says all he really sees in theaters is sad artsy movies. He said he wouldn't go to a theater to see something like Hellboy, and if did see it, he'd rent it on DVD so he wouldn't be seen watching it. Someone asked him the title of his new album, but he wouldn't answer. He was also asked what kind of music he listened to, and he says he doesn't listen to any music that's anything like his genre, and he was talking a bit about late 60's R&B. He was also talking about how the guy from the Beach Boys would be bribed with hamburgers if he wrote a new song, and that's now his technique. And he was talking about how when he used to work in a record store, this album came out that was just Elvis telling jokes onstage. He said that Elvis liked watching women wrestle in white underwear. I don't know... it was weird. He asked one of is friends if she wanted to go out to dinner with him that night, and she said ok. He said, "just somewhere in the neighborhood", and then he looked around, and said, "WAIT! I mean... uh... that secret neighborhood". He looked pretty thin as a rail, as well. He's lost a lot of weight. He kept insinuating that we were probably bored and that we could leave if we wanted to. It was funny. And one point during a break, everyone was kinda turned toward each other talking and I was turned toward Oscar, I think, but then I looked over at Billy and he raised his eyebrows at me, and so I raised my eyebrows back at him, and then he started dancing around, and I smiled. He was like, "I was trying to make you laugh, guess it didn't work..." It was funny. Especially since I don't think anyone else there noticed. He passed around his lyric book, which was really cool. I took a picture of it but because of the glare, you can't read the lyrics in my picture. That sucks! But at least I have a picture of the book.He says he's writing a book, and he just got the rough copy sent back to him proofread by the publishers, and that it should come out in September. His rock album should come out before Christmas, and this DVD of his acoustic sessions should come out at the beginning of next year.So then after everything was over, we got to go and take pictures with him and stuff. I'll upload all of my pictures tomorrow at school. I talked to him a bit, but I seriously can't remember anything that was said. I was so nervous. So then he left, and we each got to ask him a question into the camera. They'll use our questions for a "billy corgan Q&A" on the DVD.Ok, that's all I can remember for now. Pictures tomorrow.*EDIT*I forgot, he also played "...Of a Broken Heart" when warming up his voice. That was cool. I was hoping he'd play "Friends as Lovers" but he didn't.Also, Billy said that Jimmy is recording his own new album, as well.Oh, and he also asked us what we've been listening to. Oscar said, "you", and he laughed and said he hasn't released anything in .. (however long it's been). And someone mentioned Tori Amos, someone mentioned Incubus I think... actually I forgot what everyone had been listening to.pictures here
